- Assess an emergency and understand the role of the paediatric first aider
- Perform infant and child CPR with confidence
- Use an AED (defibrillator) safely
- Manage choking in babies and children
- Place an infant or child in the recovery position
- Control bleeding, wounds and shock

- Recognise and respond to febrile convulsions (seizures)

- Treat bumps, bruises and common childhood injuries
- Use a first aid kit appropriately
- Record and report accidents correctly

On successful completion you will receive the FAIB-accredited Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate, valid for 3 years.
